Assessment versioning
Capture point-in-time snapshots of your assessment, see exactly what moved between any snapshot and now, and export a written progress narrative — evidence of an upward remediation trajectory.

1. Save a snapshot
A snapshot records your assessment at a moment in time: the date, the SPRS score, the count of requirements implemented, and the status of every in-scope control. Snapshots are per profile and stored locally.
Snapshot before and after each remediation sprint. The deltas become defensible evidence that you're actively closing gaps — useful in a conditional-status conversation and in the handoff bundle.
2. The score-history table
Once you have snapshots, the Dashboard shows a history table: each snapshot's date, SPRS score, implemented count, and a trend bar with the change (+/−) from the prior snapshot. It's a quick visual of where your posture has been heading.
3. The snapshot diff
Below the history table, the snapshot diff compares a chosen baseline snapshot to your current assessment. Use the dropdown to pick which snapshot to compare against; the diff shows:
- SPRS score change — e.g. "SPRS 72 → 91 (+19)" with the direction color-coded.
- Implemented change — how many more (or fewer) requirements are satisfied.
- Newly satisfied controls — controls that moved from a gap/unset into Met / N-A / Inherited, listed by ID.
- Regressed controls — controls that fell out of satisfied back into a gap, listed by ID (a warning sign worth investigating).
Snapshots taken before per-control tracking existed show only score/implemented deltas (Bastion notes this). Newer snapshots store full per-control statuses, enabling the newly-satisfied / regressed breakdown.
4. Export the progress narrative
Click "⬇ Progress narrative (MD)" in the diff box to export a written Markdown summary. It reads like a status report: between the two dates the SPRS score improved/regressed/held steady (from X to Y / 110), requirements implemented moved by N, with the lists of newly satisfied and regressed controls. It's ready to drop into a remediation update or a handoff package.
5. Progress in the handoff bundle
When you have at least two snapshots, the C3PAO handoff bundle automatically includes a "Remediation progress since prior snapshot" section built from the same diff — so an assessor sees your trajectory, not just a single-point score.
